Selena Gomez: 'It's hard to be a rockstar when you're a pop artist'

Songstress Selena Gomez has opened up about her squeaky clean reputation and joked that it's tough to be cool when you're recording and releasing pop music as a career.

During a new interview with The Ben David and Kelly K Show, she was asked if she ever has an 'rock star' moments and explained that there's no room for that in a job like hers:

"It’s hard to be a rockstar when you’re a pop artist. I can’t be like, super-hardcore and then think, ‘Ok, well I’m in a pink sparkly dress.’ I say my rockstar version is like the PG-13 version.” She quickly added: "I don’t judge people. To each their own."

The 'Come & Get It' hitmaker is currently on her 'Stars Dance' tour across the USA and recently took a tumble on stage in Virginia, but recovered and didnt' suffer any injuries.

She performed a rendition of 'Love Will Remember' at the Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York last night and choked up while talking about the song, telling concert goers: "Everybody in this room: I have those bad days, and I understand when you guys just don’t feel like it’s enough and you just want to get back to when you were a kid again, and it was so simple, and just one thing that you want.”
