Selena Gomez ended up in tears last night (October 16) after being stopped from meeting her fans.

The US star was performing in Brooklyn on her Stars Dance tour but things ended on a sour note for the singer.

It seems Gomez has been taking photos with awaiting fans after each show on her tour and uploading them onto Instagram.

However, after her Brooklyn show she posted an image of herself in tears along with a heartfelt message explaining that she couldn't meet her fans. Gomez said:

"Never ended such a beautiful show in tears because they wouldn't allow me to Instagram tonight. Completely heart broken and pissed."

She added: "Thank you SO much Brooklyn. I'll be stopping outside Letterman tomorrow to make it up if you can make it. I love you guys more than you know. Promise."

Next up for Gomez meanwhile is a date in Philadelphia on October 18.
