'Come & Get It' beauty Selena Gomez has opened up about her approach to dating and revealed that it's tough being famous because men are often intimidated by her. 

She made the honest revelation during a new interview with America's Ryan Seacrest and explained that sometimes guys can't approach her although she wants to be swept off her feet as she has an 'old fashioned' stance on being romanced:

"I think it works different for female artists or at least it does for me because I actually don’t do any of that. Don’t get me wrong, if a guy has the courage to ask me out, maybe I would. But I’m old fashioned. I like when guys come to me."

Gomez also recently spoke to Teen Vogue about falling in love and admitted that she can't do casual dating because if her heart's not in something she can't find the energy to pursue it:

"You fall in love and it completely consumes you. So a part of you is broken when that's gone. And part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you're just like, forget it - I can do anything I want. I've tried it, and I've never been that girl. I'm always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night."
