Selena Gomez and Lea Michele on being Glamour role models: 'We want to make our fans proud'

A new issue of Glamour magazine in the USA aims to celebrate the 'Wonder Women' of our generation and it boasts brief interviews with role models Selena Gomez and 'Glee' beauty, Lea Michele.

Gomez opened up about how she makes herself accessible to her fans and explained that showing them they're all going through the same things is how she relates to them: "The one thing that I do try to let my fans know is that I'm going through everything they're going through. I'm completely normal as best as I can be. And I think that's something we can all relate to."

Actress and singer Michele, meanwhile, admitted that looking up to celebrities is tough as the reality of being famous is very different to the idea of it:

"It's tough and it's a lot of pressure. I don't think it's something that a lot of people can... or would want to have in their life." Referring to her role as Rachel Berry on hit U.S. musical drama series, 'Glee', she added: "I'm proud to play a character who I could say is a role model...I want to live my everyday life in a way that would make them proud."
