Sharon Osbourne believes Justin Bieber needs a "good slap" to sort him out.

The singer has been engulfed in personal drama over the last year, with his behaviour regularly called into question.

Music manager and X Factor judge Osbourne reckons that someone needs to stand up to the 19-year-old in an effort to get the best out of him.

She told The Mirror: "He needs a good slap. He is surrounded by the wrong people, by kiss-asses. I would say, 'Put your little ass in the studio and don't come out until you have a great body of work'."

Osbourne added that she thinks Bieber makes "floppy, poppy [and] disposable" music.

The Canadian meanwhile is due to face trial on July 7 on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid licence after being picked up by Miami cops in January.
