Sharon Osbourne has given £10,000 to a 23-year-old father suffering from terminal cancer.

The X Factor judge, who successfully battled off colon cancer a decade ago, gave the donation to Ryan 'Felix' Glenn.

He is suffering from bowel cancer and has been given just months to live.

Glen married his wife Cola from his hospital bed last week and now Osbourne has gifted the couple - who have two children together - £10,000.

Cola said: "It has really put my mind at rest because I know I can look after my children now. I'm so grateful to everyone that's donated. To get a donation from Sharon Osbourne herself is incredible. It's a huge amount. I honestly can't believe the level of kindness that both friends and strangers have shown."

Osbourne's personal message to Glenn meanwhile read: "Dear Felix, from a survivor, never give up the fight and hope. God Bless you and your family. Love, Sharon Osbourne."
