Sia says she was "really upset" about featuring on 'Titanium'

Sia has admitted that she was "upset" when she heard that her vocals would feature on David Guetta's hit song 'Titanium'.

The Australian wrote the track and recorded demo vocals on the tune under the impression that she was creating a song for the Frenchman to give to Alicia Keys.

Guetta invited other singers to feature on the track, including Mary J. Blige and Katy Perry, who ultimately convinced him to keep Sia's vocals on the song.

The songwriter told the New York Times that she didn't actually know that her vocals would be included on the single release of 'Titanium' - something which left her reeling.

Sia said: "I was really upset about it, because electronic dance music is not my kind of music.

"Of course, it turned out to help my career as a songwriter."

'Titanium' ultimately reached No.1 in the UK when it was released in 2011.
