Simon Cowell has uploaded a video of his child at the drums during a One Direction song.

The music mogul became a father for the first time earlier this year when partner Lauren Silverman gave birth to baby Eric.

The X Factor supremo has now treated fans to a short video of his growing son with a kids' drum in front of him.

In the background is a rendition of One Direction's 'Story of My Life'. Cowell commented:

"One Direction have just hired Eric as their new drummer."

Cowell meanwhile is currently starring as a judge on the current series of the UK X Factor.
