One Direction could play live at Simon Cowell's wedding - should he ever get married.

The music mogul is due to become a father as girlfriend Lauren Silverman edges ever closer to giving birth.

There are rumours that he is on the verge of proposing to his partner, but no engagement or wedding is yet forthcoming.

Speaking to the Daily Star about his dream wedding, Cowell said that he would like all of his music acts - such as One Direction, Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle - to perform.

He said: "All my artists would have to sing. I couldn’t just choose one. It would be a long wedding."

Cowell also suggested that marriage could indeed be on the cards, hinting:

"I wouldn't expect Lauren to be a single mother."

Silverman is said to be six months pregnant and Cowell has previously gone on record to say that he is excited about becoming an advice-giving father.
