Simon Cowell has revealed that he would love to work with Cheryl Cole once again.

The Geordie singer was a popular judge on the UK X Factor until a few years ago when she was replaced in a panel shake-up.

X Factor supremo Simon Cowell struck up a good relationship with Cole during her time on the show and it seems he would like to work with her again.

He said in a recent interview: "She was a really, really good judge. I mean, she took what she did seriously. She used to phone me almost every night – one, two, three o’clock in the morning, talking about songs and what she should be doing. That’s the kind of judge you want to be working with on these shows, because they really care. I hope we’re going to get the chance to work together."

He concluded: "We have to find a way because we had a lot of fun."
