British music mogul Simon Cowell has opened up about how he gets himself into the Christmas mood each year when the season rolls around. 

He told Shortlist magazine that watching appropriate holiday movies always helps and there's one in particular that he sits down with each year:

"We always watch 'It's A Wonderful Life'... It's the best Christmas movie of all time. Every time I see it, it always puts me in a good mood... but I'm always in the Caribbean. I go somewhere hot now."

Cowell also confessed to being a lover of board games and named Trivial Pursuit and Balderdash as his all-time favourites. 

The star, meanwhile, recently told radio station LBC 97.3 that he loved working with Cheryl Cole when she was a judge on 'The X Factor' and would love for her to be involved with the show again in the future:

"She was a really, really good judge. I mean, she took what she did seriously. She used to phone me almost every night – one, two, three o'clock in the morning, talking about songs and what she should be doing. That's the kind of judge you want to be working with on these shows, because they really care."
