Montreal pop artist NJ Taylor is set to release the acoustic version of her self-titled debut EP on October 21, 2016. Collaborating with Los Angeles based songwriter Adien Lewis, the EP was co-produced with Ghislain “Gee” Brind’Amour (Rihanna, Karl Wolf) who also mixed and recorded it and mastered by Gene Grimaldi (Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj). 

Originally inspired by Justin Bieber releasing an acoustic version of his Believe album, NJ wanted to share another side of herself and these songs. “Having acoustic versions gives a new life and a new meaning to the songs,” she explains, if someone isn’t into Pop/RnB commercial music, then they may be drawn to the acoustic versions. Canada is also a very difficult market for Pop music and now having acoustic versions allows me to play at more venues and opens me to many more opportunities.”

NJ is eager to perform the songs live with shows coming up in Montreal and a special international performance through StageIt, an interactive online platform that features artists performing live at a set date and time that is not recorded.  Fans are able to ask the artists questions or request songs live.  Artists such as Jason Mraz, Common, Bon Jovi, Tom Morello and Carly Simon have all created intimate fan experiences through StageIt.

NJ Taylor Acoustic EP will be available at major online retailers such as iTunes and amazon.

The original EP is currently nominated for the IMEA Awards (International Music and Entertainment Association) in 3 categories: Pop Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Pop Song of the Year for “Pop Army.”
