American Idol Loser Princess X, Breaks into UK Top 10

When Inessa Lee was kicked off American Idol in 2011, she told Ryan Seacrest that she'd be back. A couple of years -- and one undead image makeover -- later, the now-named Princess X has successfully seized the No. 9 position in the UK's Commercial Pop Club Chart this week with her debut single, "Gimme All (Ring My Bell)", and accompanying vampire-themed video.

Co-written by Princess X along with Heidi Rojas and Grammy nominated producer Luige Gonzalez, the song is a modern interpretation of Anita Ward’s disco-era classic, “Ring my Bell”. The remixes were done by Grammy nominated producer Ralphi Rosario, Mark Picchiotti, Almighty, and Hoxton Whores, and it was nominated for a 2012 HMMA Hollywood Music in Media Award (Dance Category).

The modern interpretation of Ring My Bell is not only about sexual affection, but it is also the explosion of Princess X’s passion about the one who can “ring her bell.” In the first verse, she is charming the object of her affection, but towards the end of the song she gets trapped in her own feelings. The bridge is the climax of her desire to possess him that borders on insanity. Princess X says, “I put my blood and tears in this song, because it’s the story about my insane love.”

The song is charting at #9 this week on the U.K. Commercial Pop Club Chart, and just entered the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart top 50. “Gimme All (Ring My Bell)” is now available on Amazon, iTunes (w/ digital booklet as bonus), and Google Play.
