With the release of Bad Girl Special, 2015 is set to become the year Mr2Kay makes waves in the UK

 Mr 2kay is back after the success of his single, “Summer Girl (Samba) (1Xtra, Capital Xtra) with his latest afrobeat hit, “Bad Girl Special (ft. Patoranking)”.

With the fantastic reception of the Team Salut Remix of “Summer Girl”, and reaching the No.6 peak position with four weeks in the Top 10 of the UK Music Week urban club chart; Mr 2Kay is set for the release of his latest track, laden with strong afrobeat, dancehall and pop influences. A track full of melodious chords and bassline, you will find yourself dancing to this new hit over and over, and after the success of his previous tracks, this one will be a hard one to miss.

In October 2012, Mr2Kay was chosen by the organisers of Nigerian carnival UK to represent South Nigeria in a performance in London. While in the UK, he has worked with May7ven and Moelogo on the remix of his hit single “Bubugaga”, which found airtime on the likes of Kiss fm, Capital and reviewed by MOBO awards as the ‘hottest afrobeat record in December 2013’.

Mr 2kay had also been nominated for Diospora artiste of the year in the 2014 Nigerian Entertainment Awards which took place in New York in August 2014, as well as being named as one of the acts to explode in 2014 by Nigerian Entertainment Today.
