Garage-rock band Money & The Man releases debut EP The World Is Burning

Through the ages men aren't men and money isn't money anymore. Pop music is getting more terrible each year and computers will take over the world. Dutch garage-rock duo Money & The Man consisting of Henk Wesselink and Ymte Koekkoek is the latest remedy for these complaints.

At their intense live shows this duo shows how music was intended to be, with sweat flying around. For the last year the band gave many concerts and was featured on festivals in the Netherlands and had gigs on Dutch national radio, with lots more concerts scheduled for this fall.

After the release of their eponymous debut single last week, Money & The Man now bring us their debut EP The World Is Burning, "The EP is about life, about money, about how we humans take over the world, without us even noticing and sometimes not even understanding how the world works. How we are being brainwashed by the media and the news, how we have no control over our own lives, but want to believe differently. We have to save ourselves in this society where Money & the Man are very important. But there are also happy songs about love, about naughty things and about dreams and nightmares."

Money & The Man already have plenty of new tracks in the making, their next EP is scheduled for spring 2017. In the meantime, here's The World Is Burning. The debut EP is released under new TCBYML sub-label BERT, dedicated to young musical talent. BERT was launched this august and was created especially for Dutch artists and bands. BERT is exciting, challenging, new, enterprising, a feeling, a friend, full of idealism, adventurous and honest.
