Banner. impresses with strong debut EP Over Blue

On Over Blue Banner. shows the world he is not ephemeral. Two weeks ago we released second single Howl, which like the first single was immediately put on the Dutch Spotify New Music Friday Playlist. He also got the attention of several international blogs. On Over Blue there are two more tracks with fingerpicking, sublime vocals and the distinctive instrumental piece towards the end. The singer-songwriter deep dives again in a beautiful way with songs that reminisce Fink and Sufjan Stevens, but also David Sylvian, Pink Floyd and Radiohead pass by.

Banner. is a songwriter born and raised in The Hague, The Netherlands and is known for 'nothing'. Being a self-taught guitarist since the age of fourteen, his songwriting career took off when he was eighteen, performing his songs on small stages. Currently he is studying popmusic with a major in vocals at the Herman Brood Academy in The Netherlands.

Growing up by the sea, for Banner. the horizon is symbolic for a person’s personality: “what you see is the sea, the reflection is what someone shows you, and what’s underneath the surface mostly stays hidden.” This theme finds it's place in the beautiful debut EP Over Blue.

Over Blue is being released under new TCBYML sub-label BERT, dedicated to young musical talent. BERT was launched in 2016 and was created especially for Dutch artists and bands. BERT is exciting, challenging, new, enterprising, a feeling, a friend, full of idealism, adventurous and honest.

Over Blue is released this week and available for purchase/streaming on all known digital platforms.
