Luguber is a hardcore band from Suriname, South America.
The group was founded in 2014 by Shavero Ferrier in the city of Nieuw Nickerie, four hours away from the capital Paramaribo. Ferrier was previously a member of punkband De Rotte Appels (The Rotten Apples), which can be heard on the 2013 compilation album Punks Not Deaf. At the moment Luguber is the only hardcore band in Suriname.

Nickerie Song is a dark and gloomy track about the city of Nickerie, located in the district of the same name and suffering from the highest suicide rate in the country. It's a heavy song full of doom, grunge, punk and thrash influences. Luguber got their shine when they participated in the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle Caribbean 2016.

Nickerie Song is the second single from the soon to be released EP Het Pad.
