Taylor Momsen: 'Acting was just about paying the bills - I won't be pursuing it in the future'

The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen, who starred in the hit U.S. series 'Gossip Girl', has revealed that fans probably won't be seeing her on television any time in the future because she wasn't passionate about being an actress.

Speaking to Music Radar recently, Momsen admitted that while she enjoyed acting at the time, it's not something she is actively pursuing career-wise and she is happy to leave it behind as she focuses on other creative outlets:

"Acting really isn't something I'm pursuing. I quit acting almost five years ago, and you could say that was always my intention. Acting was always, for me, a day job. It's something that paid the bills - that's how I viewed it."

She went onto add that while she can't sit here and say she will never act again, it's not something she would chase: "To try to predict the rest of my life and what I'll do far into the future is kind of insane, but no, acting isn't what I'm pursuing at all."
