The Cribs still want to work with One Direction

The Cribs are still open to the idea of writing with One Direction.

The indie group's Ryan Jarman recently revealed that they had been asked in the past by the group to collaborate.

He has now told the Daily Star in a new interview that scheduling problems got in the way.

The Cribs, however, would still be keen on working with the pop hitmakers. Jarman said:

"One Direction are big Cribs fans and we got asked to do a writing session with them in Los Angeles.

"We would’ve done it with One Direction but we couldn’t make it work on the schedule. We were doing something else and they were on tour on the west coast.

"There were still intentions to do it and I’d like to do it one day."

Speaking about the idea of working with a global pop group, Jarman added:

"It’s kind of subversive, the idea that one of the world’s biggest pop bands would do something with us even behind the scenes.

"That’s a way for us to subvert things. The perversity appeals to us."
