The Janoskians on 'Real Girls Eat Cake': 'Girls should be comfortable in their own skin'

Australian lads The Janoskians have opened up about their brand new song 'Real Girls Eat Cake' and the message they wanted to put across to fans by releasing it.

Member Beau Brooks explained to Sugarscape that the track is about self-confidence and inner beauty, which is an important message to put across because people often feel unhappy in their own skin and our bodies should be celebrated, not punished or poked fun at:

"A fan tweeted me and said, 'Would you still love me if I eat cake?' and I replied, 'Real girls eat cake'. We wanted the whole meaning behind it for girls to be comfortable in their skin and we thought 'Real Girls Eat Cake' as a metaphor or symbolism for the whole thing was great."

The track's video, which can be seen below, has now attracted over 1 million hits and they explained that shooting it was a lot of fun: "It was a good day out with the boys... especially if you like cakes."

The guys, meanwhile, will return to the UK in September for their 'Got Cake' tour and they will appear at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire for three different dates after the first two sold out completely.
