The National extend North American tour

The National have added a batch of dates to their forthcoming North Americam tour.

The US indie-rockers augmented their schedule with three new shows in August and nine fresh dates in September.

The news comes after the group performed the same song for six hours straight in New York.

The National teamed up with artist Ragnar Kjartansson to play the song 'Sorrow' a reported 105 times in a row on Sunday (May 5).

The band's new tour dates meanwhile are as follows:

  • August 4 - Murat Theater, Indianapolis, IN
  • August 4 - Riverside Theater, Milwaukee, WI
  • August 11 - Hollywood Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA
  • September 8 - Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN
  • September 9 - Cobb Energy Centre, Atlanta, GA
  • September 11 - The Fillmore Charlotte, Charlotte, NC
  • September 12 - Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, Asheville, NC
  • September 13 - Iriquois Amphitheater, Louisville, KY
  • September 15 - Orpheum Theater, Madison, WI
  • September 20- Paramount Theater, Seattle, WA
  • September 21 - Edgefield Winery, Portland, OR
  • September 22 - PNE Amphitheatre, Vancouver, Canada
