The Pretty Reckless make US chart history

The Pretty Reckless have made a new US chart record.

The band have become the first female-fronted group to have number ones with their first two hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart.

They first achieved a No.1 on the list with the 'Heaven Knows' earlier this year.

The band's latest single 'Messed Up World' has now also topped the chart.

Only two female-fronted bands have reached No.1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart before - Halestorm and The Pretenders.

The last female solo artist meanwhile to top the list was Alannah Myles in 1990.
