The Vaccines have been announced as one of the headliners for this year's Sound City festival.

The indie rockers will top the bill at the Liverpool festival, which is taking place over May 22-24.

They join a line-up which already features headliners The Flaming Lips and Belle & Sebastian.

Other new additions to the Liverpool Docklands festival include Gaz Coombes, Dutch Uncles and The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger.

The Vaccines meanwhile are due to release their new album 'English Graffiti' later this year.

It will be preceded by the single 'Handsome' on March 9.
