The Vamps star James McVey has revealed his bewilderment at the burgeoning progress of his band's upcoming album.

The rising British group are due to unleash their first record later this year, having already unveiled three singles.

However, it seems that fact still comes as a shock to the group, who have been plugging away on their material for a number of months.

Guitarist James McVey wrote on Twitter today (March 5): 

"Releasing our album is something I can't even comprehend. Years of writing, late nights, thousands of miles and much fun."

The quartet meanwhile were recently pictured in a recording studio with hitmaking songwriter Savan Kotecha, who has worked with the likes of One Direction and Britney Spears.
