The Vamps would choose Lawson if they had to make a supergroup with another band.

Last year McFly and Busted joined forces to create the pop-rock venture McBusted, who will tour this year.

When asked by the Daily Star who they would team with for a supergroup, The Vamps said that they would pick fellow Brits Lawson.

Brad Simpson said: "We’d merge with Lawson because they’re like our big brothers."

Speaking meanwhile about the musical similarities between themselves and Australians 5 Seconds of Summer, the singer added:

"We both have a shared admiration for McFly. They’ve shaped the music of our generation. I know 5 Seconds are massive fans, too. We find ourselves going to the same minor guitar chords like McFly would. So to then to go on tour with McFly and write a song with them, which will be on our album, is amazing.”
