The Vamps' James McVey hears preview of Ed Sheeran's new songs: 'You're all in for a treat'

Guitarist James McVey, of The Vamps fame, has revealed that he recently got the opportunity to listen to some new songs by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and was excited by how great they all are.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (April 3), the heartthrob explained that he was able to get a sneak preview of some of Sheeran's brand new songs and thinks fans will love them:

"Was very lucky to hear a preview of @edsheeran's new tunes yesterday. You guys are in for a treat... Save your pennies for the album now!"

The 'Lego House' superstar told Britain's Evening Standard newspaper that he has written an enormous amount of material for his upcoming sophomore album, so was able to 'cherry pick' the ones that make up the final tracklisting: “It’s the work I’m most proud of. I’ve cherry picked the best songs and worked with the best producers. My first album was a bit rushed because I’d just been signed and wanted to put something out before I was shelved.”

The Vamps, meanwhile, have written a track with the lads from McFly and confessed that it will be included on their debut album, 'Meet The Vamps', which is due to be released on April 14: "We find ourselves going to the same minor guitar chords like McFly would. So to then to go on tour with McFly and write a song with them, which will be on our album, is amazing."
