The Vamps dodge One Direction comparisons: "We're a completely different band"

The Vamps don't believe they are that similar to One Direction.

The rising Brits, who are due to release their debut album 'Meet The Vamps' on Monday (April 14), are often likened to the 'Kiss You' stars.

However, The Vamps play their own instruments and blossomed in different ways - something which they feel distances them from One Direction.

James McVey told The Metro: "I just want people to listen to it and appreciate we’re songwriters."

Brad Simpson added: "Being compared to One Direction is no bad thing, but we are a completely different band."

The group recently released their third single 'Last Night' and the midweek update released on Wednesday (April 9) confirmed that it was placed at No.2.
