The Vamps' Brad Simpson on rider requests: 'I keep it simple'

Singer Brad Simpson, who fronts The Vamps, has revealed that he doesn't make any outrageous or diva-like requests on his band's rider because all he really needs is a kettle and things that will soothe his throat.

He confessed to the Birmingham Mail newspaper that he always asks for ginger and honey, but apart from that he never really pushes the boat out and goes crazy:

"The only thing I really need is ginger and honey for my voice and a kettle is also very important, other than that it is just a tour play list and that is about it."

The 'Last Night' heartthrob also joked that there's nothing exciting about their backstage areas at tours, despite what people might expect, and they just have a standard dressing room: “Dressing rooms aren’t really that glamorous, they are just a room.”

He also opened up about the group's dedicated fans, adding that they've had to call the police a few times to escort them through huge crowds: "We did a few Jingle Bell balls in city centres and we actually called the police when we were in Manchester because the fans just surrounded our bus."
