The Vamps: 'Lawson are like older brothers to us'

The Vamps' Brad Simpson recently sat down for a chat with the Coventry Telegraph and opened up about other bands and artists they've met in the industry, and how surprised they have been by the warm reception they've received.

Speaking about the band's bond with contemporaries Lawson, Simpson explained that they look up to the lads like older brothers:

"Lawson are the nicest bunch of guys I have ever met – they are like big brothers. It was awesome touring with them, they are such nice normal guys. They are kind of similar to us – they are a proper band focusing on instrumentation and music. They are also a great laugh."

The 'Can We Dance' heartthrob added that following their support slot with Taylor Swift, she invited them to her house in California and cooked them all dinner: "A lot of the time on these tours it is very rare you see the headline act but Taylor was very grounded, very down to earth. She invited us to her home in LA and made us a meal for us, it was very humbling.”
