The Vamps' Tristan Evans reveals his phone was stolen on a plane

The Vamps drummer Tristan Evans had his mobile phone nicked whilst he was on a plane.

The British group revealed in a video interview with Digital Spy that the unfortunate incident happened sometime before the release of their new album 'Meet The Vamps'.

When talking about a previous reference to Indian city Mumbai, singer Bradley Simpson said:

"Tristan got his phone stolen by someone on a plane. You know you've got that app where you can like find your phone. So it wasn't working for ages and it eventually started beeping up."

He added: "We looked on the map and it was in Mumbai. We were chasing him after it, but it was like fast walking."

The Vamps joked that the thief might have got a listen to their album before its release date.
