The Vamps: 'Fans broke into our hotel room and we were naked in bed'

'Last Night' heartthrobs The Vamps deal with a lot of attention from their devote fans, but frontman Brad Simpson revealed that two of the band's members recently got more than they bargained for when some followers barged in on them completely naked in a hotel room.

Simpson told London's Metro newspaper that they recently had an awkward incident where some fans managed to break into the hotel room two of the members were staying in and caught them in bed without any clothes on:

"We were in a hotel in Manchester and because we’re always used to staying in hotels and going back and forth between each other’s rooms, we leave the doors on a latch so we can just come in and out. We didn’t realise that some fans had got into the hotel and Connor and James were in bed and about five fans just walked into their rooms."

James McVey clarified that both he and bassist Connor Ball were undressed at the time, so it was a little embarrassing: "We were naked. We said please can you leave. And we can’t follow them on Twitter because they didn’t give their twitters to us."

Ball recently chatted to Pressparty about trying to date while being in a successful band and explained that they're all currently single because their schedule for The Vamps is too hectic to allow for a relationship:

"None of us are in relationships; we’ve had to stop trying. We’re never home, we’re never able to do that we just kind of left it. In the future maybe we can try again with stuff… I guess I’d date a fan! Dating someone that likes your music is cool. Brad (gets the most attention) because he’s just so cute, you know!"
