The Vamps call for fans' 'selfies': 'Something awesome is happening on Friday'

'Last Night' hitmakers The Vamps have revealed that at the end of this week they will be unveiling something special for their followers, but they need them to participate by submitting selfies.

Writing on their collective Twitter page earlier this evening (April 15), the lads explained that they want fans to use a hashtag to send in photographs of themselves for an exciting project: "Something awesome happening Friday. Send your selfies to be involved using #MeetTheVamily will reveal all tomorrow."

The band's manager, Joe, then posted a message to his own social networking page asking for YouTube bloggers to get involved with the project at the end of the week: "Seriously though any YouTube bloggers that fancy working with @TheVampsBand on Friday? Get in touch ASAP."

Earlier this week, The Vamps told press that they recently had to deal with some fans breaking into their hotel room while they were in there naked:

"We were in a hotel in Manchester and because we’re always used to staying in hotels and going back and forth between each other’s rooms, we leave the doors on a latch so we can just come in and out. We didn’t realise that some fans had got into the hotel and Connor and James were in bed and about five fans just walked into their rooms."
