The Vamps singer Brad Simpson has named Zooey Deschanel as his ultimate date.

The group were asked by We Love Pop magazine about what in general would be their perfect date.

However, Simpson took it one further by suggesting that anything involving the New Girl actress would do.

He said: "Literally anything with Zooey Deschanel. I would have to bring my A-game. Maybe wear the green cardigan and my face tattoo.

"The cinema is always good because you can talk about it afterwards. And if you really get on you can talk during the film."

James McVey threw in his two cents, adding: "A picnic probably. Or I would like going for a walk on daytime dates."
