The Vamps' Tristan to fans: 'Please don't take off my hat without permission!'

British pop-rock group The Vamps landed back in the UK earlier this afternoon (June 19) after spending some time in New York City, and they were greeted by fans at the airport.

After being met by followers as they got off the plane, member Tristan Evans, who drums in the band, asked them to leave his hat alone because when he's wearing it there is always a good reason:

"When I have my hat on, please don't take it off without permission! #HatHair #Respect #Notagoodsight."

Frontman Brad Simpson added that it's always so lovely to be welcomed home by fans: "Naaw lovely to see fans at the airport, ya great. X" The Vamps also posted a collective tweet from their official page and wrote: "Nice to be back home! Just in time for the England game, come on England! Thanks for having us America."

Speaking about their fanbase recently, Simpson admitted that they wouldn't be where they are now without them: "We just enjoy it - we're just 4 lads in a band playing music. We started on YouTube and Twitter, and that's how they got us our record deal, essentially. No, we owe a lot to them."
