The Vamps star James McVey has spoken out in praise of Ed Sheeran's new record.

The singer-songwriter unleashed his second album 'x' today (June 23) in the UK.

It seems to have inspired something inside of McVey, who tweeted:

"Dear god @edsheeran's album is now out. You've gotta get it...My favourite album right now!!"

'x' meanwhile is currently dominating the UK iTunes chart, with the deluxe and standard editions sitting in No.1 and No.2.

The album is Sheeran's second record, following on from his 2011 debut '+'.
