The Vamps recognised by Hillary Clinton: 'We were impressed and she was so nice'

British pop-rock group The Vamps have revealed that they bumped into former First Lady Hillary Clinton, who can be seen pictured on the left, earlier today (July 3) and she immediately recognised them.

The lads shared a post via their official Twitter page this afternoon and told their followers that upon running into them, she asked if they were The Vamps and they were really surprised she knew who they were.

Writing about the unexpected meeting, they explained: "Haha @HillaryClinton just came up and asked "Are you guys The Vamps"??? We are all confused and impressed. She was sooooo nice!"

James McVey then posted a message from his own social networking page, which read: "So @HillaryClinton is the nicest lady ever."

Earlier this week, meanwhile, Pressparty caught up with drummer Tristan Evans for a chat and the interview will be available to read on the site from 10am UK time tomorrow (Friday, July 4).
