The Vamps' James McVey covers Ed Sheeran song

The Vamps star James McVey has uploaded a video of himself covering an Ed Sheeran track.

The guitarist, who is a self-confessed fan of the singer-songwriter, has put his own spin on the 'x' song 'Tenerife Love'.

He posted on Twitter: "I covered @edsheeran's song 'Tenerife Sea'. It's my favourite song off his album."

The cover seems to have gone down well, with McVey later taking to Twitter to say: "Thanks for the lovely feedback you amazing people."

The Vamps meanwhile have today (July 29) been confirmed to play at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on September 14.

They will line up alongside the likes of the Foo Fighters and Ellie Goulding to close this year's Invictus Games.
