The Vamps want more control over next album

The Vamps have stated that they want more control over the creative aspects of their next album.

The Brits unleashed their first record 'Meet The Vamps' earlier this year and it reached No.2 in the UK.

It features a series of co-writers, such as Savan Kotecha, Carl Falk and Wayne Hector.

Speaking to Digital Spy, singer Brad Simpson suggested that the band wants to go back to their roots on their next effort by focusing on their own songwriting.

He said: "Yeah, [we want] a lot more creative control. We had loads of control over the first album, but we did have co-writes. Whereas, I think for the next one we're going to have a few weeks out as just us, and then go demo it in the studio."

Simpson added: "Obviously we've developed through working with songwriters. So it would be nice to, as time goes on, sit down and do our own thing a bit more."

The Vamps meanwhile will release the Shawn Mendes collaboration 'Oh Cecilia' on October 12 as their next single.
