The Vamps picked for Disney movie soundtrack because of their 'energy'

The Vamps were chosen to appear on the soundtrack of an upcoming Disney film because of their high energy.

The British group have recorded the track 'Hurricane' for the soundtrack of upcoming film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

The tune will feature as a B-side on their forthcoming 'Oh Cecilia' single release and they shot a video for the song in Los Angeles in August.

Speaking in a statement, director of the movie Miguel Arteta said that The Vamps' song reflects one of the messages on the flick.

He said: "We wanted people to know that it's okay to have bad days - you can be stronger and better for it. The Vamps' energy gets that across wonderfully."

Disney meanwhile recently uploaded images from the video shoot for 'Hurricane' ahead of its full release on September 13.
