The Vamps' James offers advice to university freshers

University terms started up again in the UK this week and The Vamps' very own James McVey has warned girls starting their degrees to be mindful about safety on campus because it can be dangerous.

Writing on his official Twitter page this morning (September 23), the heartthrob warned females starting university this week to be smart about drinking and partying: "Girls starting Uni freshers... Be careful. The majority of guys are bellends."

McVey then added that confidence is what will get you through the first few weeks of college and is better than drinking to achieve a sense of false confidence, not to mention much safer: "Being confident in yourself accomplishes what many argue the consumption of alcohol achieves - being strong is the key."

The Vamps, meanwhile, will kick off their highly anticipated headlining tour later tonight in Sheffield and member Tristan Evans recently told Capital FM that it will be a huge production: “We are trying to create more of a show. We’ve obviously got more of a bigger production than we’ve ever had, like lights. We’ve got some lasers and we’ve got fire, we’ve got fireworks and everything.”
