The Vamps' James makes cat request for tour date

'Somebody To You' hitmakers The Vamps will play a concert tonight (September 25) at Newcastle City Hall and one of the members has asked a rather strange favour from their fans who are planning to attend.

The band's James McVey asked fans to bring any photos they might have of cats, which they could hold up while they perform a track called 'Move My Way'. The tweet he posted is pictured below and the reason he gave for the request was simply that he would 'love it'.

They're having a great time on the road so far and earlier this morning, the band's collective Twitter page shared an update that expressed their excitement at the headlining jaunt: "We wanna tour the world!"

Back in the spring, The Vamps thanked Taylor Swift for being so friendly to them and McVey posted a cute photograph to Instagram of himself holding her cat, Meredith. He accompanied the adorable snapshot with the funny caption: "Huge thanks to @taylorswift13 for being so welcoming in LA. Sorry if I scared you Meredith."
