The Vamps' James: 'People assume I have one night stands because I'm in a band'

Earlier this morning (October 3), The Vamps' James McVey took to his official Twitter page and set the record straight about being in a band and having people presume that he is promiscuous because of that.

Inspired by a debate on ITV's 'Loose Women', the guitarist explained that he has a lot of respect for women and doesn't enjoy having one night stands, despite the fact that people seem to assume he behaves in that way because of his career choice. He wrote: "Interested by your debate @loosewomen... Being a young male adult I say..."

"People assume I am accustomed to one night stands and sexual immorality from being in a band. The truth is that my experiences within the past few years with The Vamps has taught me even further to maintain dignity and respect for women; too many girls are taken advantage of at a young age and it makes me sick. Being young doesn't mean you have to be foolish. Learn at your own rate. Discover who YOU are before you let others do so."

Upon seeing the tweet, the 'Loose Women' ladies replied to his message and wrote: "@TheVampsJames well said! Thanks for messaging us. Love that you were watching! Next time give us a call. And come see us soon with the lads."
