The Vamps' James McVey reveals that his fitness regime is so important in Twitter Q&A

Hitmaker James McVey, of The Vamps fame, has revealed that he would give up eating delicious Portuguese flame-grilled chicken at his favourite chain restaurant if he had to choose between that indulgence and working out at the gym.

He hosted a Twitter Q&A earlier this afternoon and when asked to choose between never eating food from Nando's again or never being able to work out at a gym, McVey quickly admitted that his fitness is far more important: "I would have to sacrifice Nando's."

He also revealed a desire to run a marathon, but confessed that his fitness isn't good enough in the cardio department: "I wish! But I'm so unfit with cardio haha." The 'Wild Heart' star then told his followers that his favourite things about being in The Vamps are "travelling and playing shows".

The band's drummer, Tristan Evans, recently told Attitude magazine that he thinks the band has more of a gay following now thanks to James McVey's shirtless Instagram photos:

"Yes, I think there’s a small minority now. Especially when James posts shirtless pictures! I can’t do that, because I don’t have a good body! There are a few dudes in the audience at our shows. We saw a few in the Isle of Wight, and that was cool."
