The Vamps aiming to do standing headline shows: 'It's what a lot of fans want'

The Vamps have expressed their desire to play more standing shows.

The band are currently travelling around the UK on a headline tour, but the venues have seating installed.

This is something frontman Brad Simpson is interested in moving away from, with the singer writing in a Sugarscape blog:

"The headline tour’s been amazing though. It’s the first bit of hour-long shows we’ve ever done just for our fans and it’s been incredible. I think the best bit about it is when you start playing all the album tracks. It’s not unusual for people to know the singles, because they hear them on radio shows and that kind of thing, but it’s when you play album tracks and they know all the words that it really hits home. It’s very cool.

"Hammersmith Apollo was always the one that we’d wanted to play and now we’ve sold that out twice. I like Wembley Arena too, that’s a wicked venue. In the future we’d love to start doing standing shows ‘cos that’s we’ve seen that a lot of the fans want, but this tour’s been wicked."

Next up on The Vamps' tour is a date at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena on October 17.
