The Vamps experimenting with new sound for next album

The Vamps have revealed that they are trying out different styles as they create their second album.

The British group have been busy in the States laying down tracks for the follow-up to their 2014 debut 'Meet The Vamps'.

Speaking to Digital Spy this weekend, singer Brad Simpson said that the quartet have explored new avenues during their sessions.

He said: "We did 12 songs in a short period of time. We've been trying out so many different things. I think we're going to wait and see what we get back and see how it is.

"We tried that Magic! 'Rude' vibe for a couple, then there were a few ideas the producers had and we were like, 'Let's just try it out'.

"It was very different - like urban, one of them! I think it's good for us to just try everything and then when we get them back, we will know what we want to do. We have until March to hone in on exactly what we want. Then there were a few which were more like the Police kind of vibe, which would be good for the second album."

The Vamps' new album is expected to be released in 2015.
