The Vamps on second album: 'Our success has given us access to a great team'

Pop-rockers The Vamps are in the early stages of working on their sophomore album and frontman Brad Simpson has revealed that they managed to secure some studio time with writers and producers that they wanted for their well-received debut offering.

Speaking to Digital Spy about their next album, the 'Wild Heart' heartthrob explained that now they're more established and have some momentum going, they were able to use that to their advantage and reach out to people like Max Martin ('I Kissed A Girl' by Katy Perry, 'One More Night' by Maroon 5, and 'I Knew You Were Trouble' by Taylor Swift):

"It's always hard being an artist that no-one knows because people won't necessarily invest in you as heavily, whereas if you've had your first album, and have been lucky to have the success we did have, producers are more inclined to do something."

He went onto add that now they've got the team they want, they can really experiment and get creative with their sound:

"There were a few people we wanted to work with on the first album that we've got in with for this one, which is cool. Like the Max Martin camp - they are really good, and that's where the Police vibe came from."
