The Vamps' James thanks fans for 'best year' of his life: 'It doesn't feel real to me'

British pop-rock outfit The Vamps have enjoyed incredible success over the last year and member James McVey, who plays guitar in the band, has revealed that he's full of gratitude.

The heartthrob shared an emotional and proud post via his official Instagram account last night and confessed that he's overwhelmed by everything the group has accomplished together:

"This past 12 months has quite honestly been the best year of my life. Last December I remember thinking to myself, 'I wonder where I'll be this time next year'... I never in my wildest dreams imagined that 2014 would be as incredible as this. You guys got our debut album to number 2, got us 3/3 teen awards, sold out our first headline tour, and even managed to sell out the O2 arena in 15 minutes. Even now whilst typing this that doesn't feel real to me!"

The 'Wild Heart' hitmaker continued: "You've enabled me to travel the world doing what I love the very most, given me the opportunity to meet people who inspire everything I do, and even enabled me to be cooked a meal at my favourite girl's house! (Haha). It would be stupid and selfish to say that 2014 was 'a year for The Vamps', because the truth is this year was never meant for us, it was solely our goal to make this a year for YOU. It is YOU who have made this year the best so far, and here's to the future, a future together as one."

2015 is set to be another huge year for the lads as they are working on a second studio album and will hit the road on their extensive UK headlining arena tour in the spring
