The Vamps will 'never really get used to' having adoring fans

The Vamps star Brad Simpson has admitted that he will probably "never" get used to having legions of fans following the group around.

The Brits are one of the hottest properties on the mainstream circuit and they are currently over in Australia.

They performed on TV show Sunrise and they were watched by a throng of fans outside the studio.

When asked if they are now used to having a multitude of hardcore fans, singer Simpson said:

"I don't think it's something we'll ever really get used to.

"We just kind of make music and do it for fun. People enjoy it and want to follow us around - that's just a bonus."

Guitarist James McVey meanwhile performed backing vocals on the show only as he sported a sling.

He confirmed that he had an operation for tendonitis due to picking up a RSI injury from touring.
