The Vamps reveal Avicii and The Police new album influence

The Vamps say they are trying to bring hints of Avicii and The Police to their next album.

The group are currently working on the follow-up to their 2014 debut 'Meet The Vamps'.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the Brits said that the sound of their next record will showcase some deviations from the norm.

James McVey said: "It's kind of the same but just with more of an Avicii vibe and The Police as well I'd say."

Brad Simpson added: "I think it's a bit more dancier...as in it's more danceable so it's a bit faster. It should be good it's got a bit of an MGMT feel."

When asked how the writing is going, singer Simpson replied:

"We've been in co-writes. We haven't got the album sorted or done or anything, all we've been doing is thinking of songs and writing songs and working with people over the past two months so we've got quite a few together already."
