The Vamps on nearly working with Ed Sheeran on debut album

Heartthrob James McVey, of The Vamps fame, recently spoke to the Nottingham Post and opened up about the fact that his band almost collaborated with singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.

Speaking to the newspaper, the 'Somebody To You' star explained that they were meant to work with Sheeran on their debut album, but scheduling issues prevented the partnership from ever happening:

"It would be good to do a song with Ed Sheeran. We were going to meet up for the first album, but both of our schedules were so busy, so we didn’t get a chance. Hopefully we will be able to work him soon."

McVey also revealed that if he could ask someone else to join the band, it would be Kodaline's singer because of his instrumental prowess: "The singer from Kodaline because he can play piano and it would be really great to have a good piano player in the band."
